Compromiso con la sostenibilidad y el medio ambiente
Como parte de nuestro compromiso con la sostenibilidad y el medio ambiente, hemos integrado a nuestra flota de transporte tres camiones de gas natural, lo cuales mejoran la calidad del aire eliminado prácticamente todos los contaminantes atmosféricos que puede emitir un camión convencional (70% menos de NOx y 99% menos de partículas en suspensión ); mitigan el calentamiento global , al reducir cerca del 15% de emisiones de CO2 y un 95% menos de biometano, y reducen drásticamente la contaminación acústica en los centros urbanos.
Asimismo, nuestra flota cuenta también con dos mega-camiones con una capacidad de carga de 60 toneladas y 25,25 metros, con los cuales hemos reducido las emisiones de CO2 hasta en un 20% y el consumo de combustible hasta un 10%.

The Francolí River is located near to our plant in Vallmoll which flows into the Mediterranean and waters hazelnut, olive and fruit fields. Due to the proliferation of service infrastructure, like erosion caused by natural disasters – from droughts to devastating floods.
The forest on the bank of the river has undergone significant degradation. The objective of the project, which Europastry collaborated with in Christmas 2011, was to improve the ecological state of the river and the connection with the surrounding natural spaces through several interventions:

Our clear commitment to energy efficiency is one of the pillars on which our mission and our values are based. For this reason we constantly develop both audits and improvements in the water and energy management systems of our production plants, as well as innovative projects to optimize the energy consumption of manufacturing processes.
In this regard, one of the key actions is waste management, which includes, in addition to recycling, the reduction of chemical products consumption thanks to the modifications in the treatment plants: its improved performance results in the reduction of energy consumption and treatment chemicals.
In 2011, our plant in Rubí obtained the ISO 14001:2004 certification, an international reference in the environmental field.
The Dots plant at Oldenzaal has been built according to BREEAM® environmental certification.
Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology is the most technically advanced method of evaluating and certifying the sustainability of a building process, and as such is the global leader.
